CHRISTMAS CRACKERS - Hand Baggage

Thursday 13 December 2012

Passengers are not permitted to carry Christmas crackers in Hand (cabin) Baggage

If the crackers are in a sealed box (original packaging, cellophane not broken) they may travel in Hold (checked-in) Baggage. However, party poppers are not permitted in hand or hold baggage.

There are no Hand (cabin) Baggage restrictions on Christmas cakes but please be aware of the DfT 'Liquids' regulations and airline Hand (cabin) Baggage limits.

At the Security Search Area passengers must be aware of the UK Government's 'Liquids' and Air Travel Hand Baggage Rules together with the rules on Dangerous and Restricted Items.

See the information on our Baggage Advice page and view the videos: Prepare for Check-in and Prepare for Security Search.
